Nausea is most common in the first few weeks on Ozempic or after a dose increase, and it happens because semaglutide slows stomach emptying , that is, food just sits there longer.
Bland, low-fat foods (crackers, toast, rice, eggs, plain Greek yogurt) and hydrating options (broth, water, herbal tea) are easiest to tolerate, while smaller, slower meals reduce how much your stomach has to process at once.
Greasy, spicy, and very sugary foods tend to make it worse because they sit heavier and longer. If you're also managing CKD, diabetes, or a potassium/sodium restriction, some "safe" nausea foods (broth, bananas, coconut water) can conflict with those restrictions — worth checking against your specific profile rather than a generic list.
